When Silly Schlompo had gone I couldn't speak. I looked at Jeannie, and I could see that she was afraid too.

"What did he say to you?" I asked her, and she turned her head and looked at me.
"Did you see it too?" she asked, and I nodded and she said "I had hoped it was in my head."
"What are we going to do?"
"I don't know. What are trolls afraid of?"

I didn't say anything. But I thought of sunshine.

I had to go to a CAT-scan the next day. I didn't like leaving Jeannie, but I had no choice. I mean, you can't tell grown-ups that you can't go to an MRI-scan because trolls are going to eat your best friend. They don't understand things like that. They'll believe in wars and politics and cancer, but not in trolls, not even when the trolls are standing right next to them.
There was a new doctor there, a young one. She looked very nice, and she had long, blonde hair that made me think of a cornfield.

  "You're new," I said.
"Yes I am. I'm Mary. And you are Michael."
  "Martin," I corrected her.
"Yes, of course.. How are you feeling today, Martin?"
To be honest, I wasn't feeling very good. I was a little dizzy, and I wanted to vomit. But that wasn't really unusual, and I didn't want to make a bad impression because she seemed nice and I wanted her to be my friend. So I just shrugged and said:
"Ok, I guess. How are you?" I asked, because my mother always tells me that it's very important to be polite. I was very happy when Mary smiled at me, and I saw that she had very white teeth.
"I'm very good, Martin. Now, let's get you ready for the scan, shall we?"

The MRI-scanner is a big white thing. It always reminds me of a spacecraft like the ones in Star-Wars and we call the radiologist Yoda when he can't hear us, because he's a really old guy with almost no hair and he does look a little bit like Yoda. That makes it a little easier, because it's really a pretty scary machine - I mean, it looks into your head! Joey from my ward says that it can even read minds, and that is pretty cool, but also a little scary. I try to think of the Simpsons when I'm inside the machine, but not Jeannie, even though she makes me feel better than the Simpsons. But what if someone saw that I was thinking of her and told her? So I try to think of something else, and it's worked so far.

But when I was lying on the table and they were about to send me into the MRI-scanner, Mary leaned over to my ear and whispered:

"You have to seek out the trolls and defeat them. Don't worry. You're not alone."

The plot... Thickens. Can a plot get slimmer? Lose weight? Suffer anorexia?

Advanced critiques srsly appreciated!
